Break free from anxiety, self-doubt, fear of abandonment, and people pleasing so you can feel worthy, whole, and secure within yourself, without losing your gentleness.
You’ve been putting other people’s needs before your own for as long as you can remember, worrying that what you need is too much.
You’re a pro at second-guessing yourself and do it so often that you’ve lost touch with your own internal compass.
Maybe you keep chasing the wrong kind of love, hoping this time will be different, only to feel crushed when it isn’t.
You’re tired of feeling stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, codependency, or anxious attachment.
You want to trust yourself, know what you need, and feel secure in who you are.
Healing is possible. It starts by reconnecting with the secure, confident, authentic self that’s been there all along.
Hi, I'm Alexis!
I’m a licensed relationship anxiety and trauma therapist in San Francisco. For over a decade, I’ve helped women who are told they’re “too much” understand where their anxiety, self-doubt, and insecurity come from.
I specialize in helping women anchor into their secure, authentic self, so they can feel empowered in who they are and what they want. My goal is simple: to help you feel confident, self-assured, and centered.
In my work, I get to see women: Speak up for themselves and set boundaries
Second-guess themselves less and trust their instincts
Feel calmer, more centered, and confident in who they are
Know what they need and take up space without guilt
Feel lovable and whole, whether someone stays or goes
Let go of relationships and jobs that aren’t right for them
Open themselves to healthy, secure love
Take healthy risks that lead to new and fulfilling experiences
Release the hold the past has on them
I know what it’s like to feel like you’re not good enough
I remember once telling my therapist during a particularly hard season of my life, “I feel like a little leaf that is about to be crushed by the wind. I want to feel like an oak tree. The wind can bend me, but not break me. I want to stay rooted.” I wanted to feel secure and whole within myself. I wanted to feel so grounded in who I was that I could move through life's uncertainty without losing myself in it. Like many of the women I work with,
I grew up believing that my feelings and needs were an inconvenience and that I needed to earn love by being the good, easygoing girl. I learned to be acceptable, accommodating, and highly attuned to what other people needed, hoping that this would be enough to keep people around. As a young adult, I questioned my instincts, ignored my needs, looked outside myself for reassurance and worth, and stayed in relationships that weren't good for me. Somewhere along the way, I lost touch with myself.
My own healing journey changed that.I reconnected with the wisdom of my body. I discovered my inner child, the little girl who carried so much pain, and learned how to love her, protect her, and guide her. I discovered other parts of myself that had developed to protect me and learned to meet them with curiosity and compassion rather than shame.
Most importantly, I began reclaiming my authentic self, the part of me that was never too much, too sensitive, or not enough, but simply me.And as I reconnected to myself, my life began to expand. I started saying no to people and things that weren't good for me and yes to the people and things that were. I started trusting my instincts. I started taking safe risks. Over time, I developed a sense of trust in myself that I didn't have before. That I was okay. I would always be okay. All of a sudden, I was the oak tree. That journey continues to shape the way I show up as a therapist.
My Approach to Attachment and Trauma Therapy
I don't believe you need to be fixed. I believe the parts of you that developed to keep you safe made sense for the experiences you’ve had. I also believe that you can learn new ways of relating to yourself, your emotions, your body, and the people you love.
I believe there is a part of you underneath all the fear, self-doubt, people-pleasing, and protective patterns that already knows who you are, what you need, and that your worth was never something you had to earn. This is the authentic self and she is there waiting to be rediscovered.
In our work together, we'll look beneath the surface of your anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or self-doubt to understand the patterns underneath them. We'll explore the experiences that shaped the way you see yourself and others, the ways you've learned to protect yourself, and the places where you may have learned to abandon yourself in order to feel safe, loved, or accepted.
Guided by evidenced-based practices, we'll get to the root of your patterns so that you can begin to feel more confident, secure, grounded, and self-assured. Our work will be collaborative and respectful. We go slowly, check in often, and only go where you're ready to go.
My approach is grounded in attachment theory and draws from established research on mind-body healing, which helps you reconnect with yourself and create change that you can actually feel.
My hope is that, over time, you won't have to look outside yourself quite so much to know that you're okay.
You'll trust your own voice.
You'll know what you need.
You'll feel more secure in your relationships without losing yourself inside them.
You'll be able to move through hard things without being completely undone by them.
You’ll remember your inherent worth.
A Little More About Me
I've been described as sensitive, gentle, and kind. I've always been someone people feel comfortable opening up to, and I've never taken that trust lightly. Seeing my clients heal, grow, and transform is one of my life’s greatest honors, and I genuinely feel lucky to do what I do.
Outside of therapy, you'll find me deep in my mom era. I'm a new mom to a baby girl and a stepmom to three little girls, and I try to bring the same gentleness and playfulness to caring for them as I do my own inner little girl.
I'm a big animal and nature lover. I enjoy reading, traveling, working out, watching reality dating and home renovation shows, and spending time with my husband and friends. When I log into a session, I will almost always have a coffee or tea with me.
I can’t wait to meet you.

Finding a therapist who feels like the right fit is an important step.
I tend to work best with women who want to understand how their past has shaped their present, and who no longer want insecurity, self-doubt, or self-abandonment to run the show.
During our consultation call, you’ll get a feel for my style, and together we can explore whether I’m the right fit to help you move from feeling overwhelmed and uncertain to feeling more calm, secure, and confident.

Attachment therapy can help you understand why you relate to yourself and others the way you do. My approach goes a step further by helping you actually embody something different.
We’ll look at where your patterns came from and why they made sense at the time, while also paying attention to what’s happening in your body, emotions, and relationships in the present.
I draw from attachment theory, somatic therapy, parts work, inner child healing, and mindfulness to help you understand the patterns that once protected you, and gradually develop new ways of responding.
At the heart of my work is helping you reconnect with yourself. Not just becoming less anxious or having better relationships, but learning to trust your own voice, know what you need, honor your boundaries, and feel secure in who you are.
My goal isn’t to help you become a perfectly “secure” person. It’s to help you become more rooted in yourself, so that when life gets hard, relationships change, or uncertainty shows up, you can bend without losing yourself.

An attachment therapist helps you understand how your early relationships and experiences may have shaped the way you relate to yourself and the people you love today.
Together, we’ll explore patterns like people-pleasing, fear of abandonment, difficulty trusting others, relationship anxiety, shutting down during conflict, or feeling like you have to earn love and approval.
We’ll look at where these patterns came from, why they made sense at the time, and how they may be affecting your relationships and sense of self now.
The goal isn’t simply to understand your attachment style. It’s to help you feel more secure within yourself so you can trust your own needs and instincts, set boundaries without losing yourself, and build relationships where you can feel connected without abandoning who you are.
