Created by Alexis Warrington, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
A self-paced online course for women who are ready to understand their anxious attachment patterns, stop losing themselves in love, and build inner security to create healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
Tired of the anxious attachment cycle and losing yourself in relationships?
Why understanding your anxious attachment pattern isn't enough to break it.
You've read the relationship books, taken the attachment quizzes, and understand your anxious attachment patterns. Yet you may still find yourself caught in the same cycles.
That's because understanding these patterns isn't always enough to change them.
When a relationship feels uncertain, old emotional and bodily responses can take over.
Healing means learning to navigate these moments differently, build a sense of safety within yourself, and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Overthinking text messages, tone shifts, and the fear of abandonment
Maybe you know you deserve a healthy, loving relationship. But when you really care about someone, familiar patterns seem to automatically take over.
It can start with something small: a shorter-than-usual text, a shift in someone's tone, or a partner needing some space. Suddenly, you're wondering if something is wrong, replaying conversations, or searching for reassurance that everything is okay.
Maybe you:Overthink texts, replay conversations, or analyze changes in someone's tone.
Feel anxious when someone you care about needs space or seems distant.
Worry that you're too needy, too sensitive, or asking for too much.
Seek reassurance but struggle to feel reassured for long.
Question your worth when someone else's behavior leaves you uncertain.
Feel torn between wanting closeness and wanting to protect yourself from getting hurt.
Your mind gets caught trying to figure out where you stand, and it becomes hard to focus on anything else. You might find yourself monitoring the other person's words and behavior while losing touch with your own needs, feelings, and life outside the relationship.
You want to feel grounded even when you don't have all the answers. You want to trust yourself to navigate uncertainty without letting fear take over.
The trap of being "low-maintenance" at the expense of your own needs
Maybe you've learned to be the understanding one, hiding your feelings or minimizing your needs because you're afraid speaking up might push someone away. So you accommodate, keep the peace, and put yourself aside.
Over time, you can lose touch with what you want, question your worth, and feel disconnected from yourself.
You don't have to become someone you're not to feel loved. You can trust your instincts, honor your needs, and set boundaries while staying true to your gentle, compassionate self.
How to stay connected to yourself while connected to someone else
Anxious attachment can make uncertainty in relationships feel like a threat to your connection, your worth, or your sense of safety. You might find yourself overthinking, seeking reassurance, people-pleasing, or disconnecting from your own needs in an effort to feel secure.
These patterns often developed for a reason. They may have helped you navigate relationships, protect important connections, or cope with experiences when love felt uncertain.
But you can learn new ways of responding.Root & Rise will help you understand your anxious attachment patterns, reconnect with your authentic self, and develop practical skills for building inner security and magnetic self-worth.
Rather than trying to become someone who needs less or feels less, you'll learn to listen to your feelings, honor your needs, regulate moments of anxiety, and make relationship choices from a place of greater self-trust.
What you'll learn in Root & Rise
Through guided lessons, reflection, and practical exercises, you'll learn how to understand your patterns and begin putting new skills into practice in your everyday life.
How Root & Rise helps you break the anxious attachment cycle.
Understanding your patterns is an important first step. But knowing why you feel anxious doesn't always make it easier to respond differently when relationship uncertainty brings up fear.
Root & Rise brings together complementary approaches to help you translate insight into everyday practice.
-
Understand the protective parts of you that developed to help you navigate relationships. Learn to meet them with curiosity and compassion rather than criticism, and explore what it might look like to respond from a more grounded, authentic place.
-
Explore ways to offer yourself the care, reassurance, and emotional support you may have needed earlier in life. Practice becoming a more compassionate source of support for yourself when old fears and insecurities arise.
-
Learn practical ways to notice and navigate activation in your body. When a partner needs space or a relationship feels uncertain, your body may react as though connection is under threat. Somatic practices can help you ground yourself, make room for your feelings, and choose your response more intentionally.
You'll also explore how posture, movement, and the way you inhabit space can support a felt sense of confidence and self-assurance.
-
Build the skills to identify your feelings, name your needs, clarify your boundaries, and make choices that align with your values. Practice trusting your inner experience without assuming that every uncomfortable feeling means something is wrong.
-
Learn to communicate honestly, navigate difficult conversations, and recognize the difference between working through normal relationship challenges and repeatedly compromising yourself in a relationship that isn't right for you.
Imagine approaching love from a secure place:
What you'll discover
✔ Notice relationship anxiety without immediately assuming something is wrong.
✔ Support yourself when uncertainty comes up instead of relying solely on reassurance from someone else.
✔ Express your needs without feeling ashamed for having them.
✔ Set healthy boundaries without believing you're risking your worth or lovability.
✔ Enjoy closeness while maintaining your own identity, values, and interests.
✔ Recognize when a relationship is reciprocal and when you're working too hard to make it work.
✔ Make relationship decisions with greater confidence in yourself, even when the outcome is uncertain.
Building inner security doesn't mean you'll never feel anxious, vulnerable, or afraid of rejection. It means developing the skills to navigate those feelings while staying connected to yourself.
You can care deeply, love wholeheartedly, and still feel grounded in who you are.

Why I created this online relationship program
I’m Alexis, a licensed therapist and relationship coach. I help caring, sensitive women feel secure in themselves, confident in their worth, and free to love deeply without losing who they are.
I know what it's like to have an anxiously attached part of you that feels insatiable for reassurance. When that part was in the driver's seat as I navigated dating in San Francisco in my late 20s and early 30s, romantic love consumed so much of my attention that it was hard to focus on anything else.
I was disconnected from my authentic self. I accepted relationships that weren't healthy for me, questioned my worth, and often felt lost, like I was simultaneously too much and not enough.
I wanted to feel secure in love without having to become someone else to get there. I wanted to trust myself, honor my needs, and feel grounded in who I was, regardless of what was happening in my relationships.
Today, as a licensed marriage and family therapist, I draw on over a decade of clinical experience helping women understand their attachment patterns, reconnect with themselves, and build healthier relationships. I created Root & Rise to bring together the practices and tools I use in my clinical work in a self-paced educational course for other sensitive, kind-hearted women who recognize these struggles in themselves.
My hope is to help you illuminate your attachment patterns, develop skills to stay connected to yourself when relationship anxiety arises, reclaim your authentic self, and build a stronger foundation of self-worth.
I believe that when good-hearted, kind women feel secure in themselves, trust their worth, and no longer feel they have to abandon themselves to be loved, that healing reaches far beyond their own lives. It creates a ripple effect, shaping how they love, how they show up in their relationships, and how they move through the world. And I believe that ripple can be part of healing the world, one relationship, one family, and one generation at a time.
You don't have to choose between being deeply loving and being deeply rooted in yourself.
