My Approach
Deep within each of us resides an intrinsic part—an authentic self that embodies security, wisdom, confidence, and nurturance. This part holds the key to realistic perspectives, balanced beliefs, knowledge of our needs, limits, and goals, as well as the ability to self-soothe. It is this authentic self that I am committed to guiding my clients towards.
I offer specialized assistance in overcoming depression, anxiety, and the effects of childhood trauma. I utilize creative approaches implementing visualization, grounding, healing wounded parts of self, and mindfully exploring bodily sensation to identify strengths and resources within you, heal wounded parts of self, process trauma, and identify unmet attachment needs that perpetuate cycles of anxiety and depression. Informed by attachment theory, the window of tolerance concept, mindfulness, sensorimotor psychotherapy, developmental needs, and parts work, my practice integrates various modalities for a holistic therapeutic experience. I take particular joy in working with individuals who are curious about inner child healing, attachment, and cultivating security within their relationships.
My Values
Empowerment
I believe we each have an authentic part of us that already knows what’s best for each person. I help you connect with that part, and empower you to begin living authentically.
Curiosity
I believe we each have the wisdom within us to heal and thrive. I value providing a curious, nonjudgmental, and open therapeutic space that empowers you to discover the intuitive wisdom within you.
Transparency
I believe in being transparent with you about my identities, our differences, who my authentic self is, and what I do and don’t know.
Collaboration
I meet you where you are and seek to collaborate with you to define what is most important to you. I trust in your body’s intelligence to guide our process.
Relationship
I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the biggest catalysts for change. I seek to nurture a consistent and secure connection between us, and a safe space to process.
